Introduction to Chikoo

Do I need a computer or laptop to use Chikoo?

Chikoo is an android app and all you need to manage your store is an android smartphone and internet connection.
Chikoo will soon be available on the Apple App Store as well for iPhone and iOS users.

In what countries can I use Chikoo?

Chikoo is currently designed for use in Pakistan.

Can I use my own domain name with Chikoo?

Chikoo creates a complete URL link for your online store. If you have an existing domain name, you can redirect it to your Chikoo store through your domain provider.

How much does Chikoo cost?

Chikoo will charge you PKR 15/- only per order on your store regardless of the order size. There is no signup and setup cost which means you will only pay when you receive an order.
This charge will become applicable as of 1st July, 2021. Until then the app is free to use.

Is Chikoo a marketplace?

No, Chikoo is not a marketplace. Chikoo is an app that helps you grow your business digitally.

Who can use Chikoo?

Chikoo is meant for anyone who wants to sell online – from shop owners to facebook or Instagram sellers.

What is Chikoo and how does it work?

Chikoo is an eCommerce platform that anyone can use to build their online store. With Chikoo, you can create a simple and great looking eCommerce webstore that helps you manage and grow your business digitally.

Chikoo is completely managed through a smartphone app which is cloud-based and hosted, which means you don’t have to worry about upgrading or maintaining software or web servers. This gives you the flexibility to access and run your business from anywhere with an internet connection.

Selling On Chikoo

Can I create an order on my customers behalf?

Yes, you can create an order on your customers behalf within the Chikoo app by adding the customers information and products that have been ordered. 

Can I charge a delivery fee on my orders?

Yes, you can set a flat delivery fee for your online store. You also have the option to allow customers free delivery for orders over a certain amount. 

How can I use a delivery service in Chikoo?

You can sign in to your service account for the desired delivery service in Chikoo and book a delivery through your own account.

How will I deliver an order?

You can deliver an order through your own rider, or choose any delivery service. Some delivery services like Bykea, Rider, blueEx, TCS and Trax will be available to use within Chikoo app.

What happens when I receive an order?

You will receive a mobile app notification every time you receive an order.
To manage your orders, go to the Order tab. When customers place an order, the orders are saved on this tab as “Received”. You can mark received orders as accepted, packaged, dispatched, delivered, or cancelled based on the customers’ response. 

Can I manage inventory on Chikoo?

You can choose to manage inventory on Chikoo, by turning the inventory check on and typing in the quantity of a product you have for online sales. Once this number reaches zero, your product will automatically go offline.

How can I add products to Chikoo?

Once registered, you can add products by scanning the barcode on the product, searching a product in the Chikoo database by name OR creating a custom product using your own images.

How do I register on Chikoo?

Download and install the Chikoo app from Google Playstore, enter your phone number, your business name and set your website URL. Your store is ready.

What do I need to start selling on Chikoo?

All you need to start your online business with Chikoo is to have a smartphone, product pictures and a description of your product or service. 

Payments on Chikoo

How can I receive online digital payments on Chikoo?

You can create a merchant account with FOREE, a third-party payments provider, which will allow you to receive online digital payments through Credit / Debit cards, account transfers or IBFT and through wallets like easypaisa, jazzcash etc.

How can I create a FOREE account?

You can request a call back from the help menu in the Chikoo app and notify the support representative that you would like to create a FOREE merchant account to initiate the process.

How can I receive payments on Chikoo?

By default, Chikoo allows payments to be done as Cash on Delivery. Chikoo also allows digital payments through FOREE, a third-party payments provider.
